Doing Life Together...God's Way

What We Believe

Modern society has experienced marvelous progress since the foundation of the Early Church in the Book of Acts. Air travel has replaced journeys on camelback, contemporary worship songs are played in place of the trumpet and sermons are captured on DVD and hosted over the Internet.  Clearly, the church is and should be keeping up with modern technology!  But while the methodology has changed, God’s Word has not!  God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He says “For I am the LORD, I do not change.” (Mal 3:6)
Therefore, our beliefs and our teachings are based on the foundation laid by the Early Church. "For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."  (1 Co 3:11-12)
The Bible predicts that these doctrines would be rejected by men. "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables." (2 Ti 4:3-5)

We believe...

  • The Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:15-16)
  • In the imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (John 14:3, Rev 22:20)
  • Mankind fell from relationship with God and must be spiritually reborn by believing and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (Romans 5:8-10; John 3:3, 16)
  • In the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44)
  • In baptism by immersion. (Matthew 28:19)
  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. (I Corinthians 15:3-4, I Peter 2:18-24, John 3:16)
  • There is one God, creator and ruler of the universe, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
