Real people with Real problems Serving a Real God

Brief History

Brief history of embassy christian center

While sitting in class at Spirit Life Bible College, God spoke to our pastor’s heart and said: “Build me a strong local church in the city of San Francisco, teach my people how to live in that environment with total victory, and I will multiply you a thousand times more.”

On August 8, 1998, we held our first church service in a small classroom at the S.F. Police Academy with approximately 29 people in attendance. In spite of meeting in a facility that was less than adequate and not very inviting, we continued to grow. In January 2001, it became apparent we needed more space so we moved to another building on Mission St. top of the hill Daly City. A year later, God promoted us to a more appealing facility in Westborough. Shortly after our move, we added a second service on Sunday. Within a couple of years, we outgrew the place and moved to a larger facility in South San Francisco where we currently meet.

We are standing on our foundational scripture—Jeremiah 1:10—and anticipate God to continue the growth of this local body.

“See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.” (Jeremiah 1:10)
