Doing Life Together...God's Way

 Project joseph food pantry

At Embassy Christian Center, we are committed to making a contribution to our community, both spiritually and naturally. God has commanded us to love each other and serve those in need.
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. (James 1:27).
For several years, we supported the Salvation Army in their efforts to feed the hungry and provide a place where people can come for counseling and prayer.
In July 2003, Embassy Christian Center launched Project Joseph, a community outreach program designed to go outside of ourselves, to bless our community, share the gospel and reach our neighbors for Jesus Christ.
Since then, we have provided food and clothing for our neighbors. After every Sunday and Wednesday service, families come not only to accept groceries and clothing, but also to receive prayer and hear one of our church members give their testimony of how they overcame their circumstances through the power of Jesus Christ.
These outreaches have led to many salvations, and added new members to our church family. On one Saturday, eleven people received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and many of them attended our church service that evening.
God has given us the Great Commandment (Matt 22:37-40), and a mandate to carry His love to the lost. It is therefore His will for us to share our blessings, and carry His message of hope to our neighbors who live in darkness and despair.
If you have a desire to be used to be a light for the lost, and have a compassion for those in need, the Outreach Ministry is the right place for you!
Becoming a volunteer is simple.  Print and fill out our Volunteer Application and drop it off at our Information Center, located in the lobby of the church.
